about Mysore Kyoto

Our studio is located just off a main avenue, Oike-dori,
in Kyoto’s Nijo ward where rows of old Kyoto style buildings are still around,
and the world heritage Nijo castle is within a walking distance.
With plenty of room space, the studio offers a quiet and serene atmosphere.

Looking for where to practice while in Kyoto?

We welcome drop-ins regardless of your practice level. Please feel free to drop in even if you are in Kyoto only for a short period of time! We are open for Mysore style Ashtanga practice between 7:00 am to 10:00 am, Monday through Friday except the Moon days. Drop-in: 2,500yen *rental mat inclusive

Effect to the body

Yoga poses have been polished through the history of thousands of years and are very effective for each organ and nerves of the body.
If you have a lot of exercise experience, many of you would have experienced injuries.
Even if you are confident in physical strength and mental strength, you can realize that you are more trained by continuing yoga.
If you have some sort of disorder, you’ll notice that had been reduced as time goes on.
In Mysore Kyoto, you can learn yoga with well-experienced staff.

The habits of your thought and unconscious behaviors might bring you anxiety and sick.
If you start yoga for your daily life, you will notice that you haven’t been paying attention to unconscious habits of yourself, and learn that your emotions and body are connected deeply.
By changing the unconscious habits of your own little by little, you can find a way to live in days with fun and good health.
